Looks a lot like a Chevy 350cid V8 of the 80s with the TPI intake manifold. Installed sideways - maybe in a Fiero?

Ah that would make sense. I was confused by the fact that it wasn't on the back of a flat bed tow truck  ::)

Vector W8

Correct!

The Vector W8 was produced from 1989 to 1993. It was manufactured by Vector Supercars, and was designed by Gerald Wiegert. Just 21 W8s were produced (17 customer cars and four testing prototypes), the car retailing for up to $455,000 USD new (on today's used market they are available for less than $200,000).

The car was based around a Rodeck resleevable V8 engine (based on the Chevrolet small-block), coupled to a three-speed ratchet type automatic transmission. The engine had twin turbochargers, which produced 625 hp (634 PS/466 kW) at 5700 rpm and 834 N·m (650 ft·lbf) of torque. The W8 had an estimated top speed of 210 mph (338 km/h).
