Oh, come now. If that ain't an AMC Pacer face grafted on to a Chevy Nova, I don't know WHAT it is!

Though I suspect the last 6 words are the operative ones in the above statement...... :(

Yes it is. That is a AMC Matador X Coupe.

Granttt73

I'm with Aircool, looks like a '74 or '75 Matador X Coupe, different body from the Matador sedans and wagon from that era.   Or [looks at scenery] did they sell a version for Scottish golf linx and think "Killer" wasn't a jolly good name for it over the pond?

Rich

I almost didn't reply to this one, thinking that it was KU's way of pitying MG and me....if that ain't an AMC Matador, well, call me Cherrypie......

Otto Puzzell

It's not a Matator, as I stated above.

Well, I guess that means Bob Lutz was flirting with me as I flashed him my breasts.   :P

Are you looking for Barcelona, Cassini or Coupe (which are all Matador packages)?

None of the above. It's not a Matador.

Is it a foreign version of the Matador?

Yeah, that's what I was wondering, GW; it looks like the "Matador" used in the Live and Let Die Bond flick.  The chase scene was in Japan, so it's probably the AMC "Happyapple" (lost in translation, donchyaknow).  Call it what you want, Emperor, it's still a Matador......

Ultra

I thought it was a Fernando Alonso too.

You guys crack me up!    ;D

Admit it, KU. You have created a home for slightly deranged people!  Good on ya!    :hah:

Classic AMX? CLASSIC AMX? Lissen, when I was a mere nine winters old, my next door neighbor brought home a brand new AMX. I lived the AMX. I breathed the AMX. I listened to the AMX burble up and down the lane and far across the town I heard the AMX roar.

It may share the name, but that is NO AMX.

It will always be a damn Matador to me and I will stick to my guns no matter how wrong you prove me.

AMX indeed.

GRAYWOLF

It is a Matador that was shipped to Mexico then assempled and called "Classic AMX"

And, it was only available with an inline-6 engine.  VAM never had a V8...I wonder if any of these cars ever made it to the States...

AMC parts sold to another company, who did not call it a Matador. It was not sold as a Matador, not licenced or titled as a Matator, not marketed as a Matator.

So it's not a Matador.
