But I wouldn't want to drive it!
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

There looks to be a sharp pointed stick where the tiller or steering wheel should be!  :P

This ...car... comes from Winchester, Massachusetts, was powered by denatured alcohol and was never marketed. His father patented over 300 devices in many fields, and he is the father of the piece of formed wire that, when used in a stapler, keeps together more pieces of paper.

Paul Jaray

Wow, even with the last clues it was hard...may I ask you what helped you more?

Ray B.

Sure...: Google.
After some beating around the bush I typed  "invented the staple" and found, roughly, your sentence about "the man who invented the staple" with "1897 Goddeau". But it took me a few more steps to get to the right page on the forum where you found it.

But where I found it there's nothing about that...I wrote what's on a book and where I took the pics, there where only 2 of them!
and if you google Goddeau Roadster you'll find it!

I don't like to give up leads, but this forum has already been pointed to by Karn, so, here's where I got that:

There are a couple of cars with this set-up, like S-B, A-S, and others, so let me ask if it is from Europe first

Yes it is. well done. I have it one year younger though

1898 Goddeu Runabout

Louis Goddeu was a Candian who imigrated to Winchester and made his fortune. He worked for United Shoe Company as part of the executive board. He was an inventor and had 300 patents one of which was his four wheel tandem car that used denatured alcohol as fuel. He built four automobiles mostly for family members. None went into production. His most famous invention was the paper stapler that is in use today.

Merged - one year's separation doesn't warrant a second puzzle.
