Who knows this radical racer?

Allan L

Another one I remember  that won't reach me!
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

grobmotorix

It must have been a kind of a hell drive....

When this is over, I want to know more about this car. Look at the way the motor sits right on top of the rear wheels. Where is the transaxle?
Remarkable!

I expect D-type will tell you all about it.

It is indeed a crazyly unsafe construction with a highly mounted huge heavy engine on top of the chassis.
Must have been almost uncontrollable in my eyes...

Not this time - I haven't the faintest idea  ???

The more you learn, the more you realise how little you know.

Tackitt

I wouldn't think the motor would cause as much handling problems as that big fuel tank when it was full.
Which keeps me from thinking it is a British hillclimb car.

I second that
Triangle special 21 litre RR four wheel drive ?cut down? Daimler scout car
?

grobmotorix

LOCKED for gilescooperuk!

It is indeed a Triangle.

Can you tell me the name of the builder and the "model name".

Then I´ll give you this point

gilescooperuk

IT was built by Ted Lloyd-Jones.

Triangle Flying Saucer which was a wartime Daimler Dingo scout car chassis fitted with a 21 litre Rolls Kestrel aero engine.

Suitably bonkers engine for a car - and thanks to my dad who identified it as soon as he saw the pic!
