Time for a red car; what is it, by whom and from when?

I don't know a great deal about this car, so points will be awarded according to how much info the puzzler comes up with:

ANYONE FOUND GIVING ANSWERS GLEANED BY USING GOOGLE SEARCH BY IMAGE MAY BE BANNED FOR AN INDETERMINATE PERIOD!

As I said in the initial post, I don't know a great deal about this car.
I don't think it's a replica but whether it was actually built in the 1950's or later on original parts I don't know.
I'm hoping someone out there can tell me!

Nice car ! Looks quite genuine, Italian I assume ? No Alfa, Maser or Ferrari I think, so how about Lancia ?

Lancia D25 Sport Spyder by Pininfarina
Lancia D25 started life in 1954, it was driven to victory in the Mille Miglia by Alberto Ascari. Racer was upgraded to D25 specification by fitting with a 3.7 litre version of the V6 engine. Juan Manuel Fangio and Eugenio Castellotti gave D25 its only outing during the Tourist Trophy at the end of the season. In 1955 the car received a revised nose but it was never raced again.
