he told me he came across it in another car guessing game a while back all he remembers is that , its Scandinavian exactly Norway ,early 50's (as i said), and has an American engine , (an Auburn engine but i don't think this part is right).

Mostly correct, yes.
It was built in Norway in the early 1950s and has a US engine - not an Auburn though, but I can see why he thought that...

got it i just searched "1951 norway race car" first answer popped its called The Stousland Special built by Greger Strøm and i can see what u ment about the engine its powered by an Ardun engine

. so right ??

That's the car yes; you did well to get this one as I thought it was really obscure..
But.. you still haven't got it fully correct.
The engine has Ardun heads but it's not actually an Ardun engine; so what engine are they fitted to?
Greger Strom did the bodywork but the car itself was not actually built by him; who built it?
Locked for you to dig a bit more!

That's it yes.
I actually have it as a Ford flathead V8 but that's much the same thing I guess!
The bodywork was built by Greger Strom at Norsk Flyindustri, so he used his knowledge of aluminium aircraft construction.

For those that don't know, the Ardun 'heads were aluminium overhead valve conversions for the side valve (US=flathead) Ford V8 which were developed by Zora Arkus-Duntov the man better known for his work on the Chevrolet Corvette which earned him the nickname "Father of the Corvette". Ardun heads were much used on Allards.
