Looks like a cross between a mid-engine ACE and a Jensen-Healey...

No British involvement here, as far as I can tell.

Have found information about the original prototype of this car. I can post some info later as well as the picture of that car (extremely hard to find, I think). Anyone interested?

Here it is:

The car was originally presented as Remex Vilgas in 1993.

The short and pretty rough review of the information provided by the source:

The car was designed by the design studio Remex from Tallinn. The company plans produce it in series. In October the factory will build six cars, and plans to make 800 cars in a year. Premiere of Vilgas has taken place at the first Tallinn automobile fair Automess  ;D '93 at the very end of September. The two-door car has a demountable roof,  two comfortable seats in front and very close two behind (2+2). The engine, however, is stock. The car's price should be around 3500$. Currently the designers are working on a roadster version.
