OK. This could be one of the craziest guesse I could imabgine but: being BMW-linked, could it have something to do with Veritas?

Considering the fact that you aren't that frequently around anymore I hope I'm not too bold to ask you 2½ questions ;):
Was it a student's project and if you agree – was there at least a second, more sophisticated car?
Was it powered by a BMW bicycle engine?

Sorry 'motorcycle' I meant...  :bag:

vdp

This was the winning project of a BMW young designers competition, the task was to use computer software an design a light car with motorcycle engine. The first prize, won by Tilo Klumpp, was to have a functional prototype built.

Wow, that's quite interisting! Thanks for solving this!

Arunas

So its name is 1994/1995 BMW Sidecar?

@re

Well, the name I had for it was BMW Fun Car, but as I can't really remember what my source for that name was, it seems that vdp has more or less nailed it, so I'm declaring the puzzle solved. Well done!

I've searched the internet after vdp had given the right answer! There's a source where you can find all those pics together on one page.

@re

Those images must have been uploaded at some point during the last year or so. Before that, I could find no reference to this car whatsoever on the web.

Quite a strange-looking machine - but appealing in its own weird way.
