I know what it is.

It's very foolhardy of the man in the little tin can in the middle of the picture.

I have it as a "1st place Custom Mini Car" of 1949. That's not much of an identification, is it?

This one is not easy...
I have the name of the builder, but it's not reported in many sources....this was made by a man from Connecticut, probably the precise place, plus some searches in the right source (a popular magazine...) will show this one as a result...

According to Google Maps, you will need a 65-minute trip to reach Bridgeport from the city where this one was built, 51 miles along the same little road or 58 if you choose bigger routes.

You can reach Newington in 45 minutes, after a 33-mile trip to the East from the place were this car was built.

Was it built by one of the Cornelio's for their dealership?

This car is described as a selfbuilt car, made by one man from a city in Connecticut.
Like in the B.M.W. the body can be lifted but this one is powered by a 4-cyl motorcycle engine.

This was not easy, the place was hyphenated  ;D

Alfred De Franceschi built it over a period of 9 years!

A fine period picture popped up with these comments:
Possible disabled WWII vet vehicle, Connecticut plate beside postwar Olds bumper guard, sharing field parking with Olds, Chevy, Jeep and Simca 8 Sports roadster.
