I was thinking maybe a Pegaso with logo on there but I was unable to find a matching car

Not a Pegaso - this was a much more plentiful car, from a company that is still selling cars for the street and for the track.

The sponsor's decal is indeed Mobil's Pegasus.

The car and driver both hail from outside the US.
