some kind of custom Skoda?

The only thing I can say about your Skoda guess:

"How to make an Italian cry" (in memoriam of shelby 350 GT´s19 60s ad campaign)

It looks like the Isotta-Fraschini T8. A T12 was also made but the details on this one suggest a T8.

This is it!

1996 prototype of the T8 Isotta Fraschini.

It was based on Audi´s A8 Limousine with a shortened chassis.

But, of  course it did lack the charisma of the original Isottas and pointed to another market.

The project failed, like so many others...

rchirnom

Interesting.  Well, my guess may make Italians cry, but in a way, I was not too far off:  By 1996, VW, Audi and Skoda were all under the same corporate tent.  Perhaps some common parts in there?....

Nobody can deny the parallels in current Skoda design and this one, of course.

But that is just another reason why it had never been produced ;D

If you travel from this thread over to the Picture This #2 which has been lying about unused and unloved for weeks now, you will have a significant advantage over all the others.      (HINT, HINT, HINT)
