Wow! That is one ugly sucker!   :o

I am guessing it is a Japanese product offered in the Australian market. This would be just the thing for 2000 km treks through the outback.  The color accentuates its weirdness nicely, I think. About the only color that could be WORSE would be what is known here in Vo Disland as Dago Orange!   :hah:

All in all, it looks very Toyota - ish.

Probably a Tasmania built Tatra, though. Or a Skoda...... :P

something built as a consumer grade Baja machine?

Is it built either in Mexico or for the Mexican market?

Is Pieter close with the polar regions?

If not, my next guess after Mexican would be either Central or South American.  couldn't tell you why, it just looks like something driven down there.

I don't know for sure about Pieter's question, but I don't think so.

Not built in the Americas.

With all due respect, GTO, I mentioned the Aussie angle early on and was rudely dealt with by the administrator!    ::)

Altkam Stalker...but it seems to be identical to the Anthon-Impuls Hunter 2992...even the pictures on the websites are the same.  Did the company change names, or was it bought out by someone else?  It's Russian, or was originally.

Gee, those swell buildings in the background really make a fellow pine for the good old Soviet architecture, don't they?    :headache:
