With today's Rookie Puzzle, I'm going to throw you a bit of a curve ball. Normally in this thread, I ask for make and model designation. The make of this car is so obvious that it would be a 'gimmie'. To solve this puzzle, you must name the car (not just the oh-so-obvious brand), and why I posted it today, versus last week, or say, next month.
If you haven't registered yet, you need to do so in order to reply with your answer. You can do so by clicking here (http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?action=register).
Also, please be sure to check out our other puzzles, and, please post a puzzle of your own if you'd like - the more, the merrier. :D

Ha! I kill me!
Consider it reported.
Hard to see some of the design features in this darkish view (rear fin treatment and the fact that it's like a 60-special but without a B-pillar). The concept is the 1954 Caddy Park Avenue. They later used the name for a real production car in 1962 and 1963 when there appeared to be a market for a DeVille that was 8 inches shorter--all from the rear-quarters and deck--for maneuverability and parking relief--the Park Avenue model. But the market wasn't really there. Even later the name's been used by Buick. {A prejudice--I don't know why marketers think that NY names (Park Avenue, New Yorker) help in selling cars in Texas, Illinois and California!]
Is is the Cadillac Park Avenue. So, why did I post it when I did?
Did Dwight Eisenhour ride in it on inauguration day 1957?
No.
