No - it's the Lea-Francis Ace of Spades from 1988  ;)

The Ace of Spades was constructed from 1976, the first car was finished in 1980.

Ok - I didn't check my sources well enough, I admit. And the marque's owners' club is normally well-informed, so you're probably right about this one.

But at least the particular car in the picture is a 1988 Ace Of Spades  :)

The 1980 car (5500) wasn't called the Ace of Spades and was an open car: the coupé in the photo (5502) was exhibited at the 1988 Motor Show and I think I remember that the "Ace of Spades" name was revived for the next open car (5504) in 1995, the centenary of Lea & Francis.
