FLX?
That's part of its registration number (FLX 191)!
If the photo were better you could have seen it.

Here is a deeply technical shot of the same car's engine bay. It may help someone as there are a couple of non-technical clues there as well as a characteristic appearance to the engine.

You mean like it being a DOHC I4?

Almost, but DUHC would be a correct abbreviation, had anyone used it before.

Just call me Donald!

I was just yanking your chain.

I could see the 2 banks of valves and 4 wire coil, so I ASSUMED it to be DOHC.

Double UNDER head cams?

Dan
Exactly so: they are at the top of the block, with their followers in the cylinder head.

D-Type shares your I.P. at times, Allan L, including in the posts on this thread.  Is D-Type a relative or a neighbor of yours?

I am sure that means something to someone, but who can tell.
I just use the B***** and leave the how and why to whoever set it up.
as for the wikipedia link, it contains a long statement which offeres no help so far as I can see - but that's wikipedia for you, often wrong, unsupervised and rarely of use.

Both of our British friends are AOL users. I wouldn't be surprised if they route large groups of people within relatively small geographies through a server with that address.

Look at me, talking as if I know what I'm on about. I was "explaining" the vagaries of FTP to my daughter just last night. :liar:

Lea-Francis Owners Club Jubilee Book 1953-2003

This 112-page full colour paperback celebrates the Lea-Francis Owners' Club's 50th anniversary through surviving members' vehicles. From pre-WW1 gents' bicycles to Unihorse tractors, the individual histories of a diverse range of LeaFs makes for an enjoyable production. As well as the Coventry firm's most successful models, this book features one-offs such as Allan Lupton's handsome Corsica -bodied 1938 12.9hp and the Monte Carlo or Bust glassfibre stunt car.

Certain post-WW2 models, such as the 18hp saloon are now rare with just two of the 90 made listed. None of the Barrie Price-era cars are here but the Lynx prototype enthusiast Keith Tricker pledges to complete his second car in original lilac paint and gold plate. A bonus inclusion is the Connaught L-type
