Someone has their wires crossed. The puzzle car is not the Sport 2000.

This is the Fantuzzi Sport 1000...

The Sport 2000 was built by Ghia, not Fantuzzi. Both cars are in a private collection in Alberta, Canada.

Please clarify. You wrote: "This is the Fantuzzi Sport 1000..." Followed by color pics of what looks to be the puzzle car.

After which you wrote: "The Sport 2000 was built by Ghia, not Fantuzzi".

The answer deemed to be the correct one stated the puzzle car was...

QuoteDe Tomaso Sport 2000 Fantuzzi Spyder

Not only is it the incorrect answer, there are other things incorrect about it as well. The Sport 2000 was not by Fantuzzi. It was built by Ghia. The Sport 1000 was built by Fantuzzi. The pictures I posted were of the Sport 1000 which is the puzzle car. Sorry for the confusion.

Here are some current photos of the Fantuzzi Sport 1000...

It is hard to grasp scale in photos. This car is tiny. I'm 6' tall. When I sit in the seat, the side plexiglass windows hit me just above the elbow. The roll bar, if you can call it that, comes just above my shoulder. It would be completely ineffective for anyone over 5' tall...

The current engine is a 1000cc BRM making 125 hp at 9750 rpm...slide valve throttle bodies and mechanical injection. Cool stuff...

There are no pictures in this thread any more but I believe this is the car puzzled:
