Is this one of the proposed replacements for the Austin FX4 London Taxicab?
The Beardmore comes to mind

What can I say? The shape of the thing sort of tells a story. A Beardmore, however, it is not.

Winchester

I know I asked for make and designation, but in this case that's a bit difficult to know as I've never seen a designation other than 'Taxi'. So, a Winchester Taxi it is, built from the Sixties and well into the Seventies. It was never a big success because its engine was too low on power, but when the diesel powerplant eventually was replaced with a (not much more powerful) petrol engine it became popular among filmmakers because normal taxis' diesel engines interfered heavily with the sound recording equipment of that time... so that's today's pub trivia.

The official name seems to be Winchester Taxicab (see owner's handbook below).
Supposedly 200 cabs built, the pictures below show #190.
