The car is a Ford Anglia 105E, but there must be a catch because it couldn't be that easy.

It probably is that easy!
It was in the Rookie section, and if there were no non-US rookies (it's a US term anyway, isn't it?) who would have known?

Rookie

origins: 1892, "raw recruit," originally in Kipling's Barrack-Room Ballads, perhaps from recruit, influenced by 'rook' in its secondary sense, suggesting "easy to cheat."

To be a little more precise it is an Anglia "De Luxe".  The external difference is the full width chrome grille.
I don't think it is a 123E "Super" with the 1198cc engine as it isn't two tone and doesn't appear to have the coloured flash on the side.

I think this is more complicated than it looks and I don't think it is a De Luxe. If it is an American spec model (as suggested by the reversed wipers and wheel design), it was listed as just Anglia in model years 60-61 (although to essentially British De Luxe spec). When additional models arrived in MY1962 the De Luxe nomenclature was used, but a different, smaller grill arrangement applied. The 64 Anglia Super the only model using the wide grille. From MY65 onwards the De Luxe was the only model listed but with appearance and engine in line with the British Anglia Super and therefore an export 124E. As a lhd, the model is technically a 106E but this model code is rarely used. Please feel free to contradict as I am not from the US so my knowledge is limited. Of course, if the vehicle is from another market the above is complete rubbish anyway.

Interesting.  I looked for the steering wheel and couldn't see it, but didn't think to look at the wipers.  I agree its LHD so it's a 106E or 124E (unless the photo got reversed at some stage)

Did the 124E have had the flash or stripe on the side in a different colour like the British Super, the 123E?

I reached the limit of my Anglia knowledge with the full width grill meaning a De Luxe - the colour flash came from the web.

The 124E designation applied to all lhd 1198cc models so some markets may have got the larger engine in a below Super (or equivalent) spec (i.e.  no side stripe).
