Please, respond below and let us know the make, model designation and designer of the car posted here.

Thanks!
Looks like a Barracuda done up in Petty Blue in the rain at Watkins Glen in, let's say, 1962.
My other guess is Miss Scarlett with the rope in the library! ;D
Scott Rainville, 1966...I'm gonna say Lime Rock, Conn...did I get any of it right?

Petty and Barracuda are correct. Not Watkins Glen.
There were no 1962 Barracudas.

Rainville shared this car with Petty, in 1966.
Not Lime Rock.

Woo Hoo!!!!! ;D :yeah: :drink:
I am a certified genius! Or, perhaps, just plain certifiable! ;)
Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin? Too many trees in the background for Daytona roadcourse...
Dan
Go East...
Meadowdale, in suburban Chicago?
Dan
Go further East
Bridgehampton???
Nope. MG, I'm pretty sure you have been to this very track your own self.
Holy shift knob, Batman. I've been to, lessee, Watkins Glen, Lime Rock, Laguna Seca, VIR, Road Atlanta and Road America. However, there IS a track in New Hampfordshire known variously over the years as Loudon and/or New Hampshire Speedway for the roundy round crowd. I had a friend who used to crew for a fellow at Loudon, but I have never actually attended an event there.
Still, its not that far up the road from here and so one might assume that I have been there even though I have not.
The only other one I can think of in my area is Thompson Speedway, but they have never had a road course there (except for karts and such.)
So, after all that backing and forthing, I will boldly guess: whatever the name back then was for the racetrack in Loudon, NH.! ;D
No - but you did list the right one in your opening.... ;D
I'm going to take a stab in the dark:
Petty in a Barracuda at VIR :)

I'd gladly give the point, Steven Stephen, if you had supplied the date, as well. :D
Richard Petty, Barracuda, VIR, July 30-31, 1966.
Please forward point and certificate suitable for framing to Huckleberry Ridge Goat Roping Ranch in care of your local station.
Thank you.
BTW, Stephen is spelled with a "PH" among people who know! :P
BTW 2: the date WAS actually supplied in the link S&M posted. Therefore, I feel this is actually a tie and double points should be awarded in the spirit of friendly competition. But really, just as long as I get MY point, I really don't care about that other son of a bitch. ;D
Technically, this picture was only taken on one fo those days, of course. ;) This picture was taken during a Saturday practice session (July 30th).
I'll give you both a point, with the caveat that you-all gotta drop by more often. OK?
In Birmingham they love the Guv'nah, And we all did what we could do....
