#4 looks a bit similar to #6...

Ray B.

Yes: that's what I meant. And since #6 is known, it shouldn't be hard to identify #4.

A pre-Rocket Oldsmobile of some kind?

Ray B.

Yessir. Just an Olds, obviously from the thirties, and picture taken from a brochure. You've got about two websites to search.

No time - somebody's gonna grab this one!  ;D

That wouldn't be fair. I'll do as usual:
Boys, Otto's got until the 16th to refine his answer. If he hasn't Friday morning, start shooting.

Just found it! I'll stay tuned!

Otto Puzzell

That's mighty generous of you, Ray.

It looks to be the dash from a 1936 Oldsmobile (model designation not provided), from page 19 of the brochure for that model year. An interesting read, that. I don't think I've seen a glove box with a round portal on another car.

If indeed that's correct, you can list me as the solver, but I believe Allemano should get the point, since he actually found it first.

No, I stand by what I said, and Allemano will understand.
This isn't generous, just logical: have you ever seen those documentaries about the Mysterious Jungles of Africa, with all those mean buzzards and hyenas waiting for that nice lion to catch the zebra and then steal his prey when is about to have lunch?

Seems to be old films you've watched. In current documentaries the lions steal the hyena's catch, but never mind.

Well, you know, even in Africa fashions are changing.
