Another set of cars and towns to be identified and connected.
In this case it's the name of the car, not necessarily where it was made, that is also that of a town.
First the towns.
and now the cars
Not one guess?
I didn't even photoshop the names out . . .
Where are the rookies of yesteryear. . . ?
There will be more. The number seems to ebb and flow.
Well...
car #2 - Chevrolet Montecarlo & city #5 - Monaco
car #3 - Lotus Cortina & city #1
car #5 - Seat Toledo & city #7
The others are beyond me... ???

The actual city names are . . . ?

#1 - (dunno, you got me there :D)
Joao Gois, I'm sorry to appear picky, but perhaps the city in no. 5 does not have the same name as the state it's in - and maybe it has the same name as that Chevrolet!
There are at least five Cortinas according to Google earth.
And it may be that it is a Ford, not a Lotus.
Don't worry, you'll get the points!

Well, AFAIK, the city has the same name as the state. Monecarlo is the name of the mountain where the city of Monaco is located. And I know that's a Ford, I just like the Lotus better... ;D.
OK so Monte Carlo is a district of the principality of Monaco: however a) the casino in the photo is called the Monte Carlo Casino and b) the Chev is a Monte Carlo

Montecarlo, Monte Carlo... yes, they are.
Time to move this
Town #4, Cortina d'Ampezzo, goes with Car #3, the Ford-Lotus Cortina identified by Joao Gois
Town #1, Ascot, goes with Car #1, 1934 Austin Ascot.
Town #6, Versailles, goes with Car #7, Simca Versailles (nobody said that yet ?)
Town #3 is Bradford, to be linked to car #4, a Jowett with the same name.
Just a bit of nickpicking: car #7 looks like a Simca Versailles, but it is a (slightly pimped; wheels) 1960 Ariane Super Luxe or 1961/62 Ariane Miramas SL. Cf. the missing overriders on the bumper and the 'A' shaped hood logo.
Well that's more like it
to summarise:
Town 1 - Ascot - Ray B.
Car 1 - Austin Ascot - Ray B.
Town 2 - Biarritz - Allemano
Car 5 - Riley Biarritz - Allemano
Town 3 - Bradford - DynaMike
Car 4 - Jowett Bradford - DynaMike
Town 4 - Cortina d'Ampezzo - Ray B.
Car 3 - Ford (Lotus) Cortina - Joao Gois
Town 5 - Monte Carlo - Joao Gois
Car 2 Chevrolet Montecarlo - Joao Gois
Town 6 - Versailles - Ray B.
Car 7 - Simca Vedette Versailles - Ray B.
The Simca may well be as Dynamike says, but it came off the SIMCA Car Club Australia site so just possibly there is some Australian variation there. However Ray B., who is French, after all, identified it. ;D
Town #2 is the French city and Atlantic spa of Biarritz (remembered being their on holiday three years ago!) and matching car #5 should be the 1931 Riley 9 Biarritz Saloon.
