Well with this new information, it appears you are correct. I had this as a '79 Maidment Cadillac Seville Roadster, rather than '90 Cadillac Courier. All information seems to fit, so I'm going to be grumpy at my sources.

From the DVLA record, 1979 is the date of first registraion (of the donor car, I assume) so that's where that date comes from and 1990 was when it became a special.
The fact that Maidment trades as Courier gives the other bit of confusion.
