Two and twenty rust-heaps, baked in a puzzle. :)
For many of you Autopuzzlers, identifying shiny new cars and lovingly preserved and/or restored cars is a snap. The pictures that follow are representative of what happens to most old cars - either left to rot in a salvage yard, stripped and abandoned on a city street, or, in some cases, undergoing a restoration to their previous level of luster. Some are (or were) everyday-common, others much less so.
How many of these incredible hulks can you identify?

While I try to make the mix of puzzles I post balanced, I have not gone so far as to employ national origin quotas. :-\
For what it's worth, you are incorrect on three of your country of origin guesses. ;)

Here's some help: That's the windshield, driver's door (with vent window) and rear quarter window of an American automobile which sold in huge numbers. The front of the car is toward the lower left of thie picture. The shape of the rear quarter window should be the most help in ID'ing this one.

Correct Answers and the name of the Puzzler who identified them are listed under each picture.
A few trys, at random, documented or not, based on these juicy little clues:
2: An Alfa?
7: You may mean Crosley Hotshot, I've seen some with 2 pieces windshield, but aren't the headlights a little misplaced?
12: Pontiac GTO The Judge?
19: It's not a Muntz, yet.
21: As American as Ford A?
2: An Alfa? Of a sort...
7: You may mean Crosley Hotshot, I've seen some with 2 pieces windshield, but aren't the headlights a little misplaced? Indeed...
12: Pontiac GTO The Judge? Yes!
19: It's not a Muntz, yet. Right - it's not...
21: As American as Ford A? More American than that...
Is #1 a Chrysler New Yorker?
#17 has been so solved by not so many, for so long! - so there.
#1 is not a Chrysler.
#17 - my apologies - no slight intended.
No slight taken sir.
By the way, Neil, with 32 solved puzzles, how come you haven't been promoted to Expert ?
Done!
Hooray! Thank you very much.
No. 10 is a 1923 Dagmar.
No kiddin'? This one is a 1926 Dagmar (although her dagmars only surfaced a few years later). A drastic change of appearence.
It is a Dagmar.
Coming soon is a whole puzzle devoted to Dagmars, by the way.

1963, as a matter of fact.
#21, more american than apple pie and a Ford A, must then be a Chevrolet, like this 1927 Capitol.
# 1: 1967 Ford full-size?
And a second guess in the same post, so as not to waist space: if not, Pontiac Tempest/GTO 1966 ?
If #2 is an Alfa Romeo, what about a Giulietta ca.1961? So, brother Alfa, where art thou?
Here in #8, a 1943 6c 2500, etc...

I took a better look: it IS a Crosley Hotshot. Everything fits, the hood opening, the little vent on the side, the door hinges. The only things that have been changed are this 2 pieces windshield, the headlights moved downward and the door that has been recut lower. But it's the owner's problem after all, not mine.

Chevy, yes. Capitol, no.Add one more to the year, as well.
I thought that Capitol was quite American. I am not sure of the Chevrolet line of the twenties, but maybe a 1928 NATIONAL is even more American, a Confederate being only half-american.

Dammit! I went through the whole American Car Spotter for this one and I tought it could only be one of these. Worse, I found your picture, large size, but without the caption (the site seems down).
Actually, the second guess it not too far wrong. This a sister car of the Tempest, from another GM division. While the rear fender shape would seem to match up with a Tempest taillight, it doesn't match the correct car's light shape at all.
The Buick Special/Skylark doesn't seem right. I'm going with an Olds F-85/Cutlass.
