Nope! No car pictures here. Just a variation on a theme that’s already developed in some of our traditional, post-a-pic puzzles, wherein participants guess country of origin, designer, builder, etc.
So, here’s how this one works. I’ve a particular make, model and model year of automobile in mind. To kick off this puzzle idea, I’ve chosen a relatively well-know automobile that most any casual automotive enthusiast from most any land could ID, if they saw it.
The puzzle will originate with 20 available points. As each guess is expended, a point will be deducted from that 20. The person who correctly identifies the make model and model year of this car will be awarded 20 points, minus the points deducted previous to his or her correct ID guess.
Got it?
Who would like to begin the guessing?

Interesting...
Not a Charger.

Open and closed body styles of this car were produced.

Is it from the big 3 ? (Ford-GM-Chrysler)
-
It is not.
-
Is it a Graham?
-
No
-
Is it a Packard - Studebaker?
(I think only yes-no answers are allowed so yes if it's one of them,no if it's not)
-
Tricky...
Not a Studebaker
-
Not a Packard, either.
-
(that's two) :)
-
It was one...if it was one of them,I would used another question to find it...
OK you made the rules so that's just my opinion, but I tought, if post a list of 10 cars you just answer yes if it's in that list or no if it's not..I'm try to narrow down the list!
Is it pre 1942?
-
Yes!
-
Cord Model 810 from 1935
-
You want to tell me how in the heck you did that? :o
-
Well' I'll tell you:
It was an american car not from the big-3 and not even one of the "major independants" (Studebaker-Packard-Graham).
But with a V8 engine there were really too much! In the other hand, before 1942 there was a list of moreless 380 cars and then you said that it was available in a closed or an open body and that it was a well-known one, that narrowed down my list to 4\5 cars, such as the Marmon or the Cunningham, but only the Cord is well known for one (or 2...) model in particular. That's it!

Well done, sir. :)
