As far as I know, no bikes were ever built around this engine. It has a production automobile engine (modified, of course). It's also a pretty safe bet not many racing cars were built around this engine, either.

Hint: The engine is from a very well-known manufacturer, who built many thousands of this engine. And it's not a V8.

Nope - an automobile was the source of the engine.

Exhaust is wrong side for that straight-six, and the later V-six would have had one or three pipes/side not two I'd say.

Have we established where it comes from (and if the engine is also from there)?
As I think we have not, I'll ask if it and its engine are British?

Not British.

No sir. To elaborate on an earlier response, the engine, body and frame of this car ware not sourced in the UK (nor Australasia). Some bits were from British cars, and some were from suppliers of speed equipment.

It's a 1959 Philson-Falcon with a V6 Ford Falcon engine.

It's an inline 6 from a US Ford Falcon, but otherwise you are correct!
