Is it a ca, 1920 Benz with some exotic bodywork (british)?

That was my very first intention when this puzzle was fresh, but...

I'm currently not able to reply - I'll have an answer for you later this week. However, my sometimes-questionable memory says it is not a Maxwell.

I couldn't identify that radiator ! Then...  Wouldn't it be a Daniels ?
More precisely a 1921 Open Front Town Brougham Daniels ?

Ray,

I commute 200+ miles (not kilometers) to work at the beginning of each week, and back home at the end of the week. I try to load all of the puzzle answers into a hidden, admin-only area of the site before I leave home each week. This was one of a group that did not get uploaded.

This week, I'll be heading home a day early (tonight), so this should be resolved early tomorrow. In the meantime, I'll lock this one, so that no one else benefits from my folly, at your expense.

Thank you for your patience.
