What's the make and model of this car?

Graber

fiat 1500 by allemano ( the real one, not the one that´s puzzling  ;D ;D )

point number 25 !!   ;)

Quiller

Yes - I thought I'd be cheeky and post an Allemano.

Can you be just a little more specific on the exact body style for the point, as there were several Allemano bodied Fiat 1500s

Quiller

Quiller

The more you learn, the more you realise how little you know.

Quiller

It's really not that much of a leap to guess the body style. I'll even give you clue: it's not a coupe

Barchetta?  ???

Nope. But it does begin with 'B'. Come on!

Shot in the dark: "Berlina"? Quite common name for Alfas and Fiats

Allemano

To be honest: I have my doubts if it's the correct name, but never mind!

Quiller

Berlina is correct. Quite fitting that you get the point I guess.

As you can see, it's quite different from Allemano's 2+2 Coupe of the same period:

Yes, I knew, but have it saved as 1963 Fiat 1500 Coupe 2+2:
With both cars!  :D

"Berlina" is the italian word for "sedan\saloon".

Quiller

Here's the contemporary literature that shows the name

Allemano

On one hand you have a strong argument, but on the other hand I had in mind the Sedans/Saloons use to have 4 doors...
It was in the Rookie section back then otherwise we would have discussed it earlier.  ;)

Paul Jaray

In then pic there is just written that this is a sedan based on a Fiat 1500, it is not a particular name of the car...and sedan can have 2 doors without beeing coupes!

Yes there are some examples of two door sedans but they're very rare http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sedan_(car)
If I take a close look to the body shape of Quiller's Fiat Allemano I would definetely say that it's a coupé!

Ray B.

I disagree, Allemano, two door sedans aren't rare, by all means. With american cars (my specialty, sorry) every make used to build two and foor door sedans. Two-door sedans were different from the coupes: they had the same interior room and roof line  as the four doors sedans, when the coupes had less inner room and a shorter and later, when they became hardtops, a lower roofline.

You don't need to be sorry if you are right!  ;D
Okay maybe you're correct, but you maybe agree with me that a Sedan has commonly 4 doors.
Also it was only my opinion about Quiller's car!
