Those crazy retro Japanese have been looking through their classic car books and applying faux chrome and walnut to domestic market cars. But can you name the maker/coachbuilder and model name of each of these modern retros?
Awesome puzzle!
2 - 2008 Daihatsu Mira Gino
7 - 1999 Mitsuoka Galue II
10 - 2007 Duesen Bayern Ritz
11 - 1987 Nissan Pao
6 - Mitsuoka Yúga
8 - Lotas Princess March (Copel Fresco\Mooku Princess Cabrio)
10 - (Copel Ritz)
12 - Copel Antiguo
1 - 1996 Autech March Tango
That's some fast work there.
Correct answers so far:
1. Autech March Tango
2 - Daihatsu Mira Gino
6 - Mitsuoka Yúga
7 - Mitsuoka Galue II (2005)
8 - Lotas Princess March
10 - Duesen Bayern Ritz
11 - Nissan Pao
12 - Copel Antiguo
To add to those already listed I've got No. 4 listed as a Toyota Technocraft TC Pick Up and No.5 is a Toyota Origin. No.12 is also sold as an Am 'Craft Antiguo.
JR
You are correct!
#4 is a Toyota TC Pick-up by Toyota Technocraft
#5 is a Toyota Origin
That only leaves #3 and #9
I don't know what #3 is, but I find the styling quite dramatic and... dare I admit it... I actually like it quite a lot.
Regarding #9 - is it based on a Honda Vamos? It's quite similar to the DAMD Locoboy van, http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=2939.0 - I've seen several other "improved" versions but none quite like this.
#3 is dramatic, especially considering its relatively humble basis
#9 is indeed Honda Vamos based!
OK a clue each for the two remaining mysteries:
#3 has the same name as one of the most valuable Ferraris of all time
#9 sounds like it should be a Beach Boys song
#3: Nissan underneath?
#9 is a conversion on a Suzuki Lapin done by a company called Dream Factory Blow
It is indeed made by Dream Factory Blow, but it is based on a Honda Vamos and not a Suzuki Lapin. Its name is Surf Rider.
Well done for tracking it down. I actually have this one listed as the MOOA Surf Rider but I'm not sure if it's MOOA or Dream Factory Blow that actually makes it. One point to @are
Promoted to pro class with only one missing (#3)
Just noticed @re's question - is it Nissan based? No, it isn't...
*guessing wildly* How about a Mazda Xedos then, 6 or 9?
No it's not Mazda or Xedos based
Hi, is it one of these?

;D
Hmmm... was it the Design + Technic poster in the background? ::)
This car has nothing to do with them I believe.
As a clue, its basis is Mitsubishi...
:bump:
Clue on #3: this car is based on a Mitsubishi - and its model name is the same as one of Mitsubishi's best known cars
Can just be a Lancer or Galant, then?
Mitsubishi GTO

Mitsubishi GTO
Yes it's badged a GTO! Now can you track down the name of its maker?
I hope I'll finish this puzzle:
#3 - HONDA Utec Club GTO
Is it? ;D
Dangerous guess... ;D You know why?

#3 - HONDA Utec Club GTO
Is it? ;D
Yes! That's the one. The badge actually reads U-Tech Club GTO but that's a point for you. As my Japanese isn't brilliant I'm not sure of the basis - from the website I found this (different from yours I believe) I thought it was Mitsubishi but it may be Honda Accord...
