I like this one, though I must admit I don't think I've seen it before. Its rear design is somewhat reminiscent of the Bizzarrini BZ2001, which is quite a different kind of car, but I'm guessing it's Japanese. Could it be MX-5/Miata-based?

It's Japanese, but no Mazda-based.

Something based at a Toyota MR2 perhaps?

So - it's got something to do with Toyota then?

I may be stupid, but that doesn't help me one little bit.

Don't get me wrong, it's just because you all are not stupid that I wouldn't tell you that,it was in the rookie section and it has something to do with Toyota simply because IT IS a Toyota! ;)

Obviously, I've already tried that hypothesis, but didn't come up with anything. I've never seen or heard of any Toyota that looks like this. Which is probably why it's still an unsolved puzzle... I'm giving up on this one, leaving it for somebody else.

That's a pity, 'cause you recognize at once that it was japanese, and even if Toyota is quite prolific, I can tell you that this one is nothing more than a Toyota, no need to search for one-off self-made project-abandoned or stuff like that...there are some sites (and there is at least one we all know) with Toyota picture's, and this one is in the list...for your Porsche 924 tuned quiz I'm running through forums in Poland!

Wow. The 2000 Toyota Caserta. Never heard of it - nice design, but the rear end is the nicest, in my opinion... :)
