Looks the sort of thing Hanomag would have done after the Kommisbrot, but that would be the 3/16 which it's not.

Must have had a pretty low rice-pudding coefficient, as I've read that the 300 refers to the cc of the rear-mounted DKW engine which was later reduced to 200 cc. :o

i know this is an old post, but it contains a puzzle.

Allan L used an anglicism, "rice-pudding coefficient".  What is the meaning of this?  A measure of the ability to cause rice pudding to jiggle?  Google isn't helpful.

I think he refers to the non-ability to pull the skin off a rice pudding with this car. In German there is an equivalent phrase "Der zieht keinen Hering vom Teller." (It doesn't pull a herring off the plate).

Quite so, Wendax!
Have we done this explanation before somewhere - the comparison seems familiar.

I haven't heard the "rice pudding" analogy for years. The opposite is of course the "stump puller". An engine with so much low-down torque it could pull the stump of a tree out of the ground.
