Looks to be an A2 VW Scirocco with a widebody kit.

It does, doesn't it? But it isn't  ;)

An 83 or 84 Audi Quattro... turbo I believe.

Nope. Not a VW, not an Audi... not even German.

Lancia Delta Integrale

Closer, but not quite there yet.

It actually looks older than a Delta Integrale...and maybe bigger.  I can't see enough of the side to confirm, but it looks like a Beta Coupe with a wide body kit...prepared for rallying?

You're quite right about the car's age, the body kit and the rallying intention. It is, however, not a Lancia.

I'll give another little hint: I've photoshopped away a detail that made this far too easy  ;)

Wouldn't be a kidney grill that you photoshopped out, would it?  The nose does kind of remind me of an early BMW 3 series

Colder...

No, it would not be a kidney grill. Remember, I said it wasn't German!

Fiat 124 Sporte Coupe?

It has to be a Lancia.. possibly a Lancia Delta HF Integrale 8v?

Not a Fiat. And it definitely does not have to be a Lancia - as I've already said.

Reliant GTE?  Am I even in the right country?  I thought I was getting somewhere with my first post, but I seem to be getting colder as I go.  Thus far, my thoughts were BMW (you said not German), Fiat (you said not Fiat), and Lancia (you said not Lancia).  It doesn't look French,  (Peugeot), nor Japenese.  A clue, a clue we must have a clue!

The clue is this: Japanese: Very wrong. Reliant: Better, but still wrong. BMW: Even better, but still wrong. Peugeot: Closer - still wrong, though.

But Fiat or Lancia? Very close. Very close indeed.

Some variation on a SEAT 1200?

Maybe I should move it to the Experts section, so that you can rightfully ask that question - or are you going back to Rookie?  ;)

D'oh!

Well, if its a SEAT and its "real close" to a FIAT or Lancia, then it hardly seems fair, because all the guesses for FIAT and Lancia were probably correct, since SEAT is essentially a FIAT/Lancia/VW sold under license.

From the front pic shown, it looks like a Beta Coupe...either SEAT-Lancia or just Lancia.

OR, from the hood/front grill configuration, it could be a rally car based upon the SEAT/FIAT 128 sport coupe (my mom had the FIAT version when I was a kid).

SEAT and Fiat (and particularly Lancia) is not the same, and has never been the same. If I post a SEAT, and ask you for the make and model designation, I'm not going to accept Fiat for an answer. This site is not about guessing what is 'essentially' right, it's about guessing what is absolutely right.

However, this is not a SEAT. But it's still very close to Fiat and Lancia - and that's a big clue that should have you guessing in a very specific direction. SEAT is not in that direction :)

Is it a Giacottolo? Mid '80's Australian coupe based on an Alfa GTV but with a Holden V8 in it...?

Never heard of that, actually, but it sure was an intriguing answer! Seems to be quite obscure, that, only managed to find one picture of a Giacottolo on the Web.

But no, it's not a Giacottolo. You're still closer with your answer than anyone else has been thus far...  ;)

Alfa Romeo 33?

No, not a 33 ;) - but the rest of your answer is pretty good...

Alfettas are not Alfa Romeos?

According to the website I found information on, it called the car the Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV Turbodelta

Yes, Alfettas are Alfa Romeos, just like the Alfasuds :)

But this is no Alfetta...

OK! Let's see how long this one lasts in the Experts section :)

A little note, though - I want to know what the exact car in the picture is called. To my knowledge, there was only one or a few built.

Hi, that is an Alfa Romeo Alfasud Sprint 6C Zagato from 1982

YES! That's it - we're at the end of a long and winding road. It's a bit easier to recognize it with the grille intact :)
