Made in a Dessau shed from old Junkers aeroplane skins?
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

Not in Dessau, but Germany is quite hot.

Was Dr. Porsche involved in this project?
You wanna be the man, you gotta Name That Car!

No, but the basis for this is from southern Germany, i.e. Bavaria...

BMW 335 underneith...
Really?
It looks much too small and must have a much shorter wheelbase than the 335's 2984mm (9'9½")
But if it is, the 3½litre motor must have pushed it along quite fast, even being that shape. . .
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

Some post war budget EMW or something?

To be honest I was a little bit stunned, too. But this is what the source says.

Well, be it a 335 or another BMW - who built this body?

It is from the mid-late 1940´s  and it reflects the very hard times in destroyed Germany right after the war.

Ah, BMW 3/20 makes much more sense than 335 being more the right size  - this is what they look like without the corrugated iron body:

In fact that bodywork was made from aluminium sheet metal. It was designed byHelmut Schwandner and was built for the company "Carl Schirm" in Kirchentellinsfurt back then.
