Some sort of Mercedes-benz study?
No, not Mercedes.

Seat?
No. But all the suggestions thus far are quite close in some way or other.
Audi 100 prototype?
Ooooh! Very close! But not a 100. And Audi didn't build it themselves - so who did, and what was it a prototype for?
Audi 80 proposal by Italdesign?
Even closer! Right car - wrong designer :)
Italian designer? Bertone?
Italian - yes. Bertone - no.
That's the Audi 80 Studie Cw 0,198 Concept from 1982

Now, that's interesting. It's obviously the same car, but Audi never built it. The strange thing is that Audi and the designer seem to disagree on which year it was built - because on the coachbuilder's web page the car is listed as from 1983. It also has another name. Can you find it?
Pininfarina?
Not Pininfarina.
I've awarded Paul Jaray a point for finding the car. There's another point up for grabs to the one who can give me the complete name (designer + model designation/project code) of this creation, which the designer doesn't call the Audi 80 Studie Cw 0,198 Concept.
I'll give a big hint: I've just posted a puzzle in the Rookie section that is closely related to this one. Which should bring you a step closer to finding what I'm asking for.
Coggiola - Savio - Boneschi - Sessano?
Yes, one of them :)
Sorry for the delay...this is called also Audi B12 designed by Coggiola in 1983.
Yes! Your point has been awarded.
