It's a snapshot of a car just about to make an hyperspace jump.
A hyperspace jump to the Planet Cardboard
Very good guesses! But the fact of the matter is, this is a shot taken just before this once fine-shaped sculpture made a jump into oblivion. It unfortunately no longer exists in any state.
If it´s been built in the early to mid 80´s it had a kind of forward look.
Is it british?
Partly.
Could it be the Zagato Lagonda Rapide? (a car that Aston Martin pointedly disowned)
You're good. Very good.
Does anybody have any pictures of this car from Geneva in 1988? It was shown on the Zagato stand, and later demolished back in England. This is the last picture of it 'alive'... I just bought a truly fantastic book: "Aston Martin: Power, Beauty and Soul" by David Dowsey - probably the most elegant book I've ever read about cars. It has a lot of rare and gorgeous pictures of very rare Astons, but this is the only picture of the Zagato Lagonda Rapide - apart from this there are only artists' renderings.

Yeah, I found that, too. But it isn't exactly what was on display at Geneva in 1988, is it? ;D
I've definitely seen a pic in a UK mag from the time - from memory I think the car was painted bronze or gold. Will have a hunt
did you see this pic on the 'showcase' site?
No, I didn't! Thanks for pointing that out. That means there are some pictures out there, but they don't seem to be posted anywhere on the Web.
@RE:
here´s a pic I´ve found in one of my books:

:lmao: You were joking?
I have an odd taste.
I believe these images will now make this the thread containing the most images of the Lagonda Rapide Zagato ever. ;D
OK, I agree. It's ugly.
