Can you be more specific?

MG EX135, based on a 1934 K3 chassis, with its enging offeset so that the driveline could run beside the dirver rather than under him.  The clear engine and chassis panels were used for display purposes only.

...I could be wrong...

Otto Puzzell

Nope, it's not an MG EX135.

You have the correct lineage. However, this car is a bit younger than the one you named.

The only one(s) left, imo, that could fit this pic are the EX 179 (inspiration for the MGA)  and/or the EX181....problem?  none of my pics of those really "fit" the pic given...closest remains EX 135, w/ the more pronounced wheel arches and exposed (somewhat) motor...

stumped as usual, KU

MG

Coulda been some kinda Bonneville speed record special I suppose, though my knowledge of the marque is not quite as encyclopedic as a certain Idahoan of note.     ???

FWIW, the clear panels are not; 'tis a trick of the light on some very shiny paint.

Oh, thanks for clearing that up.  An MG, then?    ;)

Doesn't anybody read Autoweek?
Measures with mics, marks with chalk, cuts with axe, beats to fit and paints to match

Scratch that. It was in C&D or R&T recently. You can't get much higher profile. Of course, it wasn't so high profile that I can lay my hands on the magazine and state definitively where it was. But it was there. Somewhere. At some point.

At least that's what the voices that appear in my Rice Crispies are telling me.

This was the hint I needed....well, that and the correct answer:  It is......the MG "Flying Shingle."  More details will be offered at a later date given that I left my memory....err, most recent R&T...at home this a.m.

We have a winner! Ken Miles' MG R2 "Flying Shingle" is the car.

This one might be a bit too well-known, but it's worth a shot.

1 point for the correct guess.

Good luck!
