Having visited the Aston Martin Heritage Trust a couple of days ago, I unexpectedly find myself able to give the following answer:
The car is Aston Martin A3, the third car to bear the name, built in 1921.
The photo was taken on the Isle of Man in May 1922 and the men are (L-R) Lionel Martin, Bertie Kensington-Moir, Clive Gallop and Count (Lou) Zborowski.

Exactly, and you were maybe the most qualified to find this. This is a 2 points puzzle to me, by the way.

15 January 2013 marks the official incorporation of the company 100 years ago and to commemorate the historic occasion the oldest surviving Aston Martin – A3 – and a stunning new Vanquish, the brand's ultimate GT, will take their places at a photo call at Henniker Mews in Chelsea – the original home of Aston Martin – where a commemorative plaque will be unveiled.
