Who is he, and what car can he be associated with?

Art and cars. Painters, writers, musicians, actors, movie makers: in a nutshell, artists. Cars of special importance in their work, or in their life.
This one, being relatively easy, will be worth just 1 point. Tougher ones will be worth 2, one for the artist, one for the car.
Rule of this puzzle is: you identify the artist, you have one week to find the car. After that, the hunt is opened and anyone can rob you of your point.

If you haven't registered yet, you need to do so in order to reply with your answer.
Also, please be sure to check out our other puzzles, and, please post a puzzle of your own if you'd like - the more, the merrier.

Thanks!

Is that Oscar Niemeyer, the architect of Brasilia, and therefore to be linked to Volkswagen Brasilia ?

Leopold Stokowski and Dymaxion

None of the above.
I am kind of sorry of the mean trick I used, choosing that kind of photograph. The face of this man is so well-known that I felt any other angle would have been too revealing. Yet, even like this I feel that someone can make a right guess.
It's still early for clues, though.

Is this sir Alec Issigonis. (Morris)

Ray B.

With all due respect to Alec Issigonis, I don't think he was an artist by trade.

I saw the picture, studied as much of the man's face as I could, and my very first thought: Stan Laurel. Don't tell me why, I've never seen much Laurel & Hardy, but it was just a hunch. You can imagine the shock when a quick picture search for Stan Laurel turned up this very picture on the first page...

The car you're after is probably the Ford T that the two comedians drove around in in their films?

Now, @re, that's what I call a keen eye!
Always trust your first thoughts!
