I am coming back with 2 possible links between Tune 9 (Brian Setzer Orchestra) and Car 10 (1955 Cadillac). They don't completely satisfy me but...
The first one is the song "Elvis on Velvet". It doesn't specifically refer to Cadillac, but does to driving and 1955, and what car do you imagine Elvis in, except a Cadillac? The problem is that song was created by the Straycats, Brian's first group, and not by the BSO.

Nope, that's not it...

My second possible link's  shortcoming is that it's not a tune but an instrument:
- Brian Setzer plays a Gretsch White Falcon, a guitar that was called "the Cadillac of guitars", and introduced in 1955. So all of Setzer's song feature a "1955 Cadillac".

I wasn't aware of the name of his guitar, but what I'm looking for is the link between the car and the band pictured, via a specific song.

What about this one: Band #5 is Santana, and Car #7, besides being a 1961 Chevy Impala, is a lowrider.
They are linked  by "Low-Rider", a song by Santana.

Close, but no. To the best of my knowledge, there is no connection to the band Santana

To narrow it down: is that related song from the very same "Brian Setzer" album we see thumbnailed in your first post?

Otto Puzzell

No - that album is a selection of re-worked classical compositions.

The album containing the song in question has no such longhair aspirations.

Aaaarrgh! I know musican #6, but can't remember the name!   :hyper:
Was/Is he the leader of a famous band?

Otto Puzzell

He's already been ID'd. (Holiday Road & Lindsey Buckingham)

I've said I know him....

All right: I had seen it before but read it too fast: the song that links the Brian Setzer Orchestra and the 1955 Caddillac is Who would love that car but me?

Band #5 is Santana War, and Car #7, besides being a 1961 Chevy Impala, is a lowrider.

Not many music fans about.  :(

I think that the problem, with these group and matching puzzles, is that it's hard for puzzlers to save them in a practical form on their HD.
I usually download the images of the puzzles I'm interested in in a file. No problemo for ordinary puzzles.
For group puzzles, the best would be to save and print a whole image of the first post, so one can have it with him when he does his research. And that's impossible. And also to save and print the post by the author of the puzzle where he states which ones are solved, and which ones are not.
So, in order to be comfortable, you'd need to have whether these prints, whether a computer with three screens: one for the images (and still they don't fit all in a screen), one for the results and one for you research.

I forge to say that your music puzzles are really tough, but that is part of the fun, naturally.

Good idea - I'll look into a printable puzzle summary

I know it ain't easy, but it's a pity to leave a nice puzzle like this unattended.
What about some clues?

And where are the Beach Boys?
Besides, the car has already been identified an linked.

No. 6 is Lindsay Buckingham who sung 'Holiday Road' from National Lampoons Vacation, the film featured car #5 the 'Wagon Queen Family Truckster'

Otto, could you please sum up what's been found and linked? We're getting mixed up her. Thanks.

Probably far too obvious, but No.5 could be the "pretty cool wagon...we call it a woody....not very cherry, it's an oldie but a goodie" mentioned in the Beach Boys song Surf City.

While Brian Wilson co-wrote this song, it was a hit for Jan and Dean. The song mentions a '30 Ford wagon, not a pretty cool wagon. And as Ray stated, the correct song / car / artist connection is long since solved.

Plenty more to be solved here - keep at it!  :)
