guido66

That's right. I've also got a model name for it. Do you happen to know that too? Locked for you until your next reply

Otto Puzzell

Here's a better look, as you work on it.

Ogle? (although that's the design house)

guido66

No, I have another name for it.

Tackitt

I hate to walk in on another guy's answer but, since you opened it back up, it is a Lucas Chloride XREV

guido66

According to my info the XREV was the van from this puzzle: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=8211.0

I have another name for it, but if someone proves me wrong I guess it's worht 2 points  ;)

Tackitt

Are you referring to it being called the Lucas-Chloride Griffon?  I have seen that name in one place. All others are calling it the XREV.

guido66

Indeed, the Griffon is the XREV, but this car is something else...

TheItalianJunkyard

As far as I know this car doesn't have a name. It is just refered to as the Lucas Chloride hybrid car, as it was an experimental prototype, which was never produced in a secon unit. That's what is written in a engineering book about hybrids and other alternative mobility solutions. If you want, I can post some technical data about it.
Built right after the Bedford based Griffon, it used the same drive train, and a Reliant 0,8 liter ICE.

guido66

I've come across the same the document. The name I've found for it indeed isn't mentioned there. With the Reliant engine, I also very much doubt if the car would be able to live up to it's (nick?)name!  ;)

TheItalianJunkyard

I suppose you're referring to the "Chloride Silent Power", which is the name of one of the subsidiaries created during the eighties under the main Lucas-Chloride umbrella.

guido66

No, but your close

TheItalianJunkyard

The owner calls it "1982 Reliant-Lucas Hybrid".

I suppose he knows his stuff, right?

Djetset

Has anyone suggested 'Ogle Lucas Hybrid Car'  yet?  That's what it was called on a postcard that was issued about this 1982 Lucas Chloride/Reliant-powered concept car.
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

Allemano

Ogle was already mentioned by 75america

I suppose so too, but nevertheless I found 2 places on the web that gave this car an additional name. Chances are that it's not an official one. The name you gave in your previous post was very close (in meaning) to the name I found.

Tackitt

Are you talking about the sites that call it the Lucas-Chloride EV Systems Hybrid?

guido66

No, it's similar in meaning to the "Silent Power" that was mentioned before

TheItalianJunkyard

Chloride Silent Rider?

guido66

Find something else for "silent"
