I'd say the Voisin Biscooter 125cm3 two-seater, and I checked: amazingly, this is the first time someone chooses it for a puzzle.

Indeed it is, I was surprised too. I hoped that a self taken image from a magazine would throw people off but nope.  ;D

I'm pretty sure it's spelled "Biscuter."

Interesting phenomenon, that. From time to time, I've decided to not post a certain car, because I'm sure it's already been puzzle fodder, only to learn it was either on another forum, or looked familiar because I had found and saved a picture in the past that I never got around to posting.

For a moment you had me doubting, but no. The Biscuter was the spanish Autonacional model produced 1954-58 (picture below).
This one is the 125 version showed at the 1950 french Salon du Cycle et de la Moto. Scoter is "correct" french spelling, as scuter is the spanish spelling.

Oh... I thought this was the same car as the Biscuter. I didn't know there was both a Biscuter and a Biscooter. That's just downright confusing!

No, this basically the same car. The Biscooter just predates the Biscuter.

Precedes it in the automotive lexicon, too.   :D

So they went from a name that evokes "scooter" to one that evokes "biscuit."

Yes, because they went from France to Spain :)

I agree, I also always think about biscuit when I see the name BiscĂșter. One of the books I have even desribes it as Biscuiter :D
