Was there a FIAT engine (if there was an engine at all!) in the back?

biz5300

DBR ....  a car based built in MILAN..

biz5300

MY FRIEND IN MILAN OWNS IT..

metalshapes

The cockpit is set back far enough that it could be a front engine.

And those are Fiat ( 1500?) wheels.

Once this puzzle is solved I'd like to learn more about it.

Maybe Biz has some more Info?

This car was the brainchild of Cesare Bossaglia (father of the engine for the Alfasud) .
In the 60s He joined Nicolò Donà delle Rose (active with his brother in the kart field) to produce the DRB (the initials of Nicolò and Cesare). The DRB was planned to be a Gran Turismo car with an original 1000cc two-stroke engine. The engine was ready and produced 75cv in its standard version and 115 in the tuned one. The body was designed by Bossaglia  himself but was never completed and the project was dropped.

the other pictures I found are from Biz5300's friend in Milan...
