Sorry Otto... I guess the wooden body panels were made by the Ionia Manufacturing Company, Ionia, Michigan.

On a specialized site I found "Ionia supplied Nash with the ash-framed mahogany doors and panels that were used to produce the 1946-1948 Nash Ambassador Suburban." The wood was said to have been delivered  by the Reed Lumber Co. and the South Bend Plywood Co. Other name that was mentioned here was Mitchell-Bentley (1953-1964) and Mitchell (since 1964)...

I have the car listed as a 1947 Nash Ambassador, with wooden coachwork done by Mitchell-Bentley.

The point is yours!
