Is this the 1948 Gregory?

Otto Puzzell

Yes! This is the rear-engine, front-wheel-drive Gregory!

Nicely done.

Gosh. How many other rear-engined front-drive cars are there? I can only think of one other...

The only other one I ever came across was a Mini with a Rover(Buick) engine in the back, driving forwards to the front wheels - it was a one-off raced IIRC by Harry Ratcliffe in the 1970s
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

I'd not heard of that one. The one I had in mind was the Arrowhead Teardrop Car of 1936, which had a rear-mounted V8 (over a single rear wheel) driving the front pair of wheels. Can't find a pic of it for now...

The Mini I thought of is described on this page of this site - scroll half-way down to the heading "Mini-Buick"

I've found a pic of the rear-engined V8 three-wheeled (!) Arrowhead:
