I don't know if I can find the model name, but that front end looks like an early '50s Delahaye. Am I right in that at least?

You're on the right track

Is there something besides Delahaye involved here (like maybe Hotchkiss)?

Delahaye and a coachbuilder.

Delahaye and a coachbuilder. Yeah, that really narrows it down.   ::)

I've found this exact picture in color, but it was only identified as a Delahaye 235.

It's not by Ghia, is it?

It is not.

Well, you said make and model designation. I take it "by so-and-so" is part of the "specific model designation" you're looking for?

And am I at least correct as far as Delahaye 235?

You are.

The point is yours. Now, if you can ID the coachbuilder, I'll give you a second point.

You have 24 hours.

Well, I've eliminated Chapron, Saoutchik, Figoni et Falaschi. I've found a zillion references to their 235s that this car doesn't look like.

I can't identify anyone else as having definitely been associated with Delahaye that late in the game. But some "maybe"s I've found are:

Guillore
Carrozzeria Rocco Motto
Pennock
Vanden Plas

Is it any of those??

This whole puzzle thing is a game, isn't it?
Work is a thing to be taken playfully, but games are a thing to be taken seriously.

I know Ray, but that was only an ironic comment to Arunas' signature.

Although 1952 is stated in the photo above, the car is chassis no. 818004 that was shown at the Paris show in 1951.
The slight confusion arises as it was listed as a 1952 model.
