Darrell Vittone's VW powered Fiat 850 Spider

Darrell Drag raced the Empi "Inch Pincher" and "Inch Pincher Too " VW Bugs before this one, and made the switch to the Fiat for better aerodynamics.

It was fitted with a aftermarket fiberglass hardtop to make it legal for H/Gas, and it ran 10.3 at 130MPH 1/4 mile times.

Paint was by George Cerney from Norco California.

I have one article where its called "Hybrid Hauler".

Definitely I've done something worthy joining your community. One day and I've already found a new car I didn't know and that is very interesting for the book I'm working on.
Has anybody a magazine feature to send me or any higher-res picutre?
