Who is this person, and what car can he be associated with?

Art and cars. Painters, writers, musicians, actors, movie makers: in a nutshell, artists. Cars of special importance in their work, or in their life.

He does, though that's not the trade he's known for. But then again...

This is Dan Blocker, of Bonanza fame, and he was the owner of a 1965 Huffaker Genie MK10 race car nicknamed "Vinegaroon".
The blackface picture is  his portrayal of DeLawd in the 1949 movie "Green Pastures".

Wow, that was impressing!
I've found that face common somehow, but Hoss Cartwright would had been never on my list...

By the way, he's connected to another race car that is a long-solved puzzle here, for those who care to rummage.

I googled "blackface", as I knew that's what they called this type of role.
