Title: SOLVED: Djetset #137 - Wedgie Quincy-Lynn Urba
Post by: Djetset on May 06, 2009, 03:42:58 AM
Can you see through this grainy photograph to tell me what this is.  I will award a point for the name of this modified car, and/or the name o the vehicle that it is based on.

Wow, I'm impressed as I thought this one might stick around for a while.  Weel done, you have the point for spotting the Wedgie and its creator, based around a Quincy-Lynn Urba.

I just found it a few days ago.  That's much more difficult when you recognize a photograph but can't place a name on it, because it was a few more days ago.  Maybe I should use tags ?

Apparently this car was made by a welder named Paul Brantner:

QUOTE
According to the clippings, welder Paul Brantner spent about a year and $1,800 building the 600-pound Wedgie on the back porch of his house. He originally painted it red and used a 16hp Kohler engine, which was worth 55 mph in the light car. The article quoted his wife: "If I am ever driving the car and it runs out of gas, I'll just throw a rope around the bumper and drag it home."

Here it is as it now appears:
