Title: Solved: light problem 1 - Rover 200 / Jaguar XJ200
Post by: gilescooperuk on November 23, 2009, 04:07:06 AM
Here is something with a difference...

The picture below shows a car's rear light. But this unit was used on more than one car (possibly not by the same manufacturer).

So which cars used it. I know of 2 for this one but if someone can get proof of more....

COOL idea for a puzzle.

Sadly, it doesn't look familiar to me :(.

This lamp unit looks like it is from a Rover 200.

As well as being fitted to various 200 derivatives (inc. the 200 Coupe and 400 Saloon) the light was also used in the diesel-powered Honda Civic 5-door that was sold on the French market (basically a Rover 200 with Honda badges to satisfy the high demand for a diesel Honda in France at the time).   Apart from that though, I can't think of any other cars using this unit.

And I thought it was from a Vauxhall Cavalier, as used on the TVR Griffith.
But that was without looking!

You got it.

I thought this one would have gone quicker.

This light was used on the Rover 200 (91-95 model) in the UK and also on the Jaguar XJ220 supercar.

The picture below should prove it.
