No, it wasn't the car of Dusty Springfield.  :P

1948 Oldsmobile 98 Futuramic made by Ghia, isn't it?

Allemano

Wow, that's it indeed!  :)

It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

Shame :(

At least here's the sideview. A Strange car I must say. From the front view, I expected it to be much less "40s American".

I also have this pic, but thought it would be rather less attractive...

Maybe our Professor Jaray has some additional info and maybe even some historical  ;) pics in stock.

Not a single line in my catalogue of Ghia cars...if this is a GM special version made for the Shah of Persia and Ghia involvement was limited to its construction, I'll take a look in the catalog of american cars...but I'm afraid no other pictures. (unless I have the time to look in those old magazines....)

Allemano

I was afraid of this... Even more annoying that it was solved so quickly...  :(  :D

Sorry to say that, Italian friends, the Oldsmobile part looks much better thant the Ghia part.

I gotta say, Allemano, you have the most creative ways of inscribing your name in the images. Not only that, every time I see it, I have to ask myself if it is really there or not.

That finger swipe in the dust is wonderful. How did you do that so convincingly?

And still there are no more images of it available. Strange... ;)
