You pick my puzzles apart... or, the right expression is probably the opposite, you put them together, way too fast.
But I won't give up. So, how about this then? Know what it is?

Please, respond below and let us know the make and model designation of the car posted here.

If you haven't registered yet, you need to do so in order to reply with your answer.  You can do so by clicking here.

Also, please be sure to check out our other puzzles, and, please post a puzzle of your own if you'd like - the more, the merrier.  :D

British? VW-based?

so - that´s two questions... :D

@re

And not just any two questions. Two very good questions -  because the answer to both questions is yes!

don't know what the mystery car is, but it looks like a hillman minx behind it......

grobmotorix

Well, I think you´re right - let´s try a new guess concerning our mystery car:

Is it a french Rossignol?

Otto Puzzell

I thought it was a British car  ???

I stand by my answer. Which means it is not a French Rossignol.

I knew I recognised this and it came to me in a dream - perhaps like the designer...

It's the Warp 8 one-off from the 1970s

Here it is as it exists now - it was for sale recently

@re

Now that's impressive!

That's the one of my puzzles that's lasted for the second longest time in my history here at AutoPuzzles. It is indeed the Warp 8, designed and built by an Englishman called Owen Williams, in 1976. I can not currently remember what kind of car it was based on, though.

The point is yours - actually, I think I'll award you two, for solving this one.

It was VW Beetle based (and not, as the vendor of the car suggested, a Lamborghini prototype!)

With a name like that i would have thought he was Welsh!  ???
Duncan Rollo

The more you learn, the more you realise how little you know.

@re

I'm sorry. I think he actually was. I was going to write "a Brit called Owen Williams" but my brain short-circuited.

For one point put on your dark sunglasses and name this car!

CompleteKitCarMag

It's a Warp 8. Believed to be one of two, and possibly the only one that was completed. It turned up on eBay recently, and we're going to see the car this month  :)

Erm... yes, you're right!  A point is yours, and welcome to the compelling world of AutoPuzzles.com!

A front view I've to provide:

Two Warp 8 bodies were made.  The first one off the mould had pieces of gel coat missing, so it was set aside.  The second body was built into the complete Warp 8.  The first body was later made into a car, but was not finished.  From 2011 to 2012, a man in South Wales started the process of turning body #1 into a complete car.  Family medical issues appear to be keeping him away from the project.

The first car completed, body #2, appears to be lost in time somewhere.
